Helen Locke was president of the BRC for over four years during which the club flourished and returned to some basics. 

 

Determined and focused, the club undertook a number of new activities during her tenure including the Helena Warren clinics and trail rides away. She worked tirelessly to ensure events went off without a hitch organising the trainers, meals, accommodation, setting up equipment as well coordinating the entries and developing programs - and she still managed to get her ride in on Elvis.  While in the demanding role, she still had time to smile and take an interest in the development of individual club members. 

 

Helen is an Honorary LIFE member of the BRC and continues to participate in training events and trail riding.
