Past Presidents
2012 - 2016
Helen Locke was president of the BRC for over four years during which the club flourished and returned to some basics.
Determined and focused, the club undertook a number of new activities during her tenure including the Helena Warren clinics and trail rides away. She worked tirelessly to ensure events went off without a hitch organising the trainers, meals, accommodation, setting up equipment as well as coordinating the paper entries and developing programs - and she still managed to get her ride in on Elvis. While in the demanding role, she still had time to smile and take an interest in the development of individual club members.
Helen is an Honorary LIFE member of the BRC and continues to participate. Helen has returned to the Committee in 2026.
2017 - 2020
Angela Dulhunty took over the reins in 2017 and continued to guide the club in the direction of learning and fun while keeping us all organised.
Angela and her lovely gelding William participated in most club training days and events and even when Angela couldn't ride due to shoulder surgery, she was still on hand making sure everyone was welcome and accounted for.
Angela remains a member of the BRC and continues to participate in club activities when she is able.
2021 - 2025
Nynka Lucas stepped into the role of President in 2021, helping guide the club through a busy few years. She focused on updating membership and entry platforms, making it easier for riders and supporters to get involved.
Having completed 5 years as President, Nynka was keen to hand the reins to another leader, whilst still being involved in the Club. She continues in 2026 as Vice President and remains an active member, looking forward to enjoying more club days with her younger horses and supporting the BRC riding community.
